Livello e scuola/e: Triennio – Educazione al Patrimonio Artistico e Welfare Culturale (DAPL10)

Descrizione del corso: Con lezioni frontali e interattive, il corso introduce gli elementi di base della grammatica inglese, il vocabolario specifico per le varie discipline d’arte gli elementi di ascolto e pronuncia, per capire è costruire un discorso su il proprio lavoro. Il programma si divide in due livelli: il Corso di Basic English (base, livello A2 – B1), per quegli studenti che hanno più difficoltà, c’è più enfasi sulla grammatica, l’ascolto e la pronuncia inglese per portare il loro livello a un B1. Alla fine delle lezioni ci sarà una verifica degli aspetti della grammatica affrontati durante le lezioni che conterà come parte scritto (voto parziale) dell’esame finale.

Il corso intermedio /avanzato condotto interamente in inglese è più discorsivo con un ripasso di elementi della grammatica, per rinforzare la loro conoscenza di inglese a un livello di B1/B2 e oltre. Durante le lezioni sarà richiesto di produrre dei compiti scritti dove si discuterà il contenuto. Verso la fine delle lezioni sarà chiesto di produrre un elaborato scritto di circa 250 parole che sarà parte dell’esame finale (voto parziale).
Se possibile, i corsi di entrambi i livelli si dividono per Scuole, per concentrarsi su contenuti e terminologie più specifiche. La padronanza della lingua inglese al livello B1 o B2 costituisce uno strumento indispensabile per operare nel campo artistico.

Triennio Corso Base:
L’introduzione del corso chiarisce programma, obiettivi, e requisiti per accedere all’esame finale.
Sarà fatto un quiz per tutti nella prima lezione a determinare il livello del corso da seguire in base alla conoscenza della lingua inglese.

Una lezione di terminologia per ogni disciplina artistica e gli strumenti e materiali usati; con traduzioni e lavoro sulla pronuncia. La lezione seguente è utile per accertare quanto si è compreso discutendo e descrivendo immagini di opere d’arte contemporanee. Incoraggiando gli studenti/le studentesse ad usare la corretta terminologia con semplici frasi in inglese.

Per ampliare il vocabolario terminologico si svolge la lezione su argomenti della storia dell’arte dal gotico al contemporaneo con testi da leggere, capire, tradurre e discutere sui vari temi.

Lezione per l’uso di aggettivi impiegati per descrivere l’arte e le tipologie di parole che possono essere usati per esporre diversi aspetti di un’opera d’arte. Lavoro su traduzione, comprensione e pronuncia.
La seguente lezione e provando a usare gli aggettivi per parlare di immagini di diverse opere d’arte.

Lezione dell’uso di aggettivi comparativi e superlativi. Regole di spelling e come e quando si usano. In seguito, le studentesse e gli studenti dovranno prova di confrontare due opere d’arte e dire quali elementi sono comuni e quali le diversità, tutto in lingua inglese, per appurare se hanno compreso l’uso degli aggettivi comparativi e come formulare una frase.

Tre lezioni per la ripasso della grammatica inglese; articoli, pronomi, preposizioni, tempi verbali semplici (presente, passato e futuro) con spiegazioni ed esercizi.

L’ultima lezione ci sarà un Quiz di verifica degli aspetti grammaticali studiati durante lezioni.

Triennio Corso Avanzato:
Lezione di terminologia per ogni disciplina artistica e conoscenza degli strumenti e dei materiali impiegati. Lettura dei testi e discussione di immagini di opere d’arte utilizzando vocaboli appropriati (interamente in inglese).

“The importance of Art History””. Discussione su famose opere d’arte nella storia dal gotico al contemporaneo rispondendo alle domande: chi sono gli autori? in quale periodo sono stati fatti? e perché sono importanti nell’evoluzione artistica?

Programma didattico (eng):

Three-year under graduate basic English course (basic – lower intermediate level).
The introduction to the course will clarify the objectives and requirements necessary to be able to take the final exam. There will be a quiz done for all the students to determine their level of English knowledge and what course they should follow.

The first lesson will concentrate on terminology specific for the various artistic disciplines and the materials and tools used. Together we will translate them and how they are pronounced. The students will then try to use the words to describe images of contemporary artworks.

In order to build on their vocabulary of new terms, the next lesson will deal with texts and images on art history from the gothic period up to contemporary artworks. They will read and translate and discuss the various artworks they observe.

A lesson on adjective use to describe art and the various aspects of a work of art. Together we will translate them and understand how they are used and pronounced. For the next lesson the students will try to use as many adjective possible to describe images of different works of art.

A lesson on the use of comparative and superlative adjectives, the rules of spelling and how they are used.
Then the students will each attempt to make comparisons of two works of art to say how they are similar or different.

In the next 3 lessons there will be a review various aspects of English grammar; articles, prepositions, simple verb tenses (present, past and future) with explanations and exercises.

The last lesson will be a quiz on the aspects of the grammar studied in class to verify their understanding and knowledge of them.

Three-year under graduate advanced English course (intermediate – upper-intermediate level and beyond).
The first lesson will concentrate on terminology specific for the various artistic disciplines and the materials and tools used. We will read text in relation to these words and have a discussion on images of artworks (entirely in English).

A lesson on the Importance of Art History, discussing famous works of art from the Gothic period up to Contemporary times answering the questions of: Who are the authors? In what time did they work? and why were the important to the evolution of art?

Using adjectives to describe art. A lesson on the various types of adjectives and a discussion on how to describe the images of the artworks shown using the correct descriptive words.

A lesson on the use of comparative and superlative adjectives, rules of spelling and use.
The students will look at artworks and have to say how the works are similar and how they are different.

Two lessons on the Formal Aspects of Art. Reading texts and discussing some of the principle aspects of an artwork: line, shape, form, texture, pattern, color and composition. The students will be asked to describe and discuss the various elements that they observe in the images of artworks shown during the lesson.

Two lessons on English grammar review covering the following aspects: articles, pronouns, prepositions, simple verb tenses (present, past and future) and more complex verb forms of these including perfect tenses and modal verbs. With explanations and exercises.

Writing an essay about their artwork (about 250 words), as part of the final exam. This will be followed by days of individual meetings with the students to evaluate their writing and decide on a mark.

Modalità d’esame: La modalità d’esame è divisa tra una parte scritta obbligatoria per accedere all’esame finale orale (verifica grammatica per il corso base e un elaborato scritto per il corso avanzato alla fine delle lezioni) con un voto parziale di 50%, e una verifica orale con un voto di 50%. Il voto finale sarà una media dei due giudizi.

Criteri di attribuzione del voto: Lo/la studente/ssa dovrà mostrare di conoscere e usare correttamente la grammatica e avere una padronanza di uso dell’’inglese in campo artistico pari al livello B1, secondo il CEFR.
