Con la 2RCABAU ha preso il via un primo momento di confronto e intervento sulla materia dedicato alla stampa d’arte editoriale.
Studentesse e studenti del Biennio Specialistico della Scuola di Grafica d'Arte sono stati coinvolti in un percorso intensivo che li ha portati a riflettere e a lavorare su lastre di rame incise da William Kentridge.
Un’occasione per immergersi nei processi della Stampa d’Arte, tra tecnica e progettualità editoriale.
Dopo il primo appuntamento, un secondo momento di approfondimento è stato dedicato alla stampa editoriale, un percorso laboratoriale avanzato, centrato sull’elaborazione e la stampa di matrici originali realizzate da Yōko Ono.
Un’esperienza formativa che unisce rigore tecnico al gioco di squadra, offrendo l’opportunità di esplorare i linguaggi della Stampa d’Arte attraverso opere di una delle protagoniste dell’arte concettuale.
Durante il percorso del workshop, i partecipanti hanno stampato nove esemplari di opere di William Kentridge e altrettante di Yōko Ono.
Nell'ultima giornata sono state selezionate le tre migliori stampe di ciascun artista, rifilate manualmente e firmate collettivamente da studentesse e studenti, dedicate al Comune di Urbino, all'Accademia e a 2RC.
Le copie rimanenti sono state tagliate in piccoli frammenti: a ciascuno ne è stato affidato un ritaglio, da conservare come memoria concreta dell’esperienza.
Questo gesto simbolico ha voluto trasmettere a studentesse e studenti un valore fondamentale: l’etica.
Una caratteristica che da sempre contraddistingue 2RC.
Editorial Printmaking Art| Introductory Workshop

A first moment of dialogue and engagement in the field of editorial printmaking art has begun with 2RCABAU.
Students from the Master’s Program of the School of Printmaking are involved in an intensive journey that led them to reflect and work on copper plates engraved by William Kentridge.
An opportunity to immerse themselves in the processes of Editorial Fine Art Printmaking.
Following the first event, 2RCABAU presented a new opportunity for in-depth exploration of editorial printmaking: an advanced workshop focused on developing and printing original plates created by Yōko Ono.
This educational experience combined technical rigour with teamwork, offering students the chance to explore the language of Fine Art Printmaking through the work by one of the leading figures of conceptual art.
During the workshop, the students printed nine copies of works by William Kentridge and an equal number by Yōko Ono.
On the final day, the three best quality prints from each artist were selected, hand-trimmed, collectively signed by the students and dedicated to the Municipality of Urbino, the Academy, and 2RC.
The remaining copies were cut into small fragments: each student was assigned a piece to keep as a tangible memory of the experience.
This symbolic gesture aimed to convey to the students a fundamental value: ethics.
A characteristic that has always distinguished 2RC.
